Really helps Lock the platter. I cannot compare to solid platters, but I think this makes a stock platter 20 times better. Really helps the feel.

Install tip, don't push off the C clip from the spindle, pull it off with the two inside gaps on the C clip with tweezers or something similar. Set it upside down and let the platter fall off, dont pry.

To reinstall the belt, it needs to be around the under ring you pushed the platter into and around the motor shaft below the notch.

It helps with the plastic platter. I also have another ring around the base that I bought first to stabilize the platter but with both- it is super solid. Much cheaper than getting an aluminum platter (esp when you have already put three hundred bucks in your portable). Super easy to install. The price is great too!
