ARCADE BUTTON MOD: NUMARK PT-01 SERIES |
This Kit is designed for the Numark PT-01, PT-01 USB and PT-01 Skratch. The Kit is configured to go inline between the Motor and Circuit Board. Soldering iron is not needed for this installation. |
PREREQUISITES |

STEP 1 |
Flip the turntable over to rest it on the top cover and remove the 8 screws using a philips screw drivers or using a drill with a philips drill bit for faster access. |
STEP 2 |
Detached the power and usb plug from the bottom portion of the portable turntable. |
STEP 3 |
Choose an area on the Numark PT01/USB to drill a hole using a drill and a 7/8 - 1 inch 1/8 inch step drill. 24mm arcade button: Step Drill 7/8 - 1 inch 30mm arcade button: Step Drill 1 inch 1/8 or 1 inch 1/4 |
STEP 4 |
Use a Dremel to dremel extra space inside the hole so the clips that are attached to the Arcade buttons will fit. (Optional) |
STEP 5 |
Slide the wires through the hole followed by the Arcade button. Then snap the Arcade button into place. |
STEP 6 |
Cut these wires from the start/stop pcb board using a pair of scissors. |
STEP 7 |
Remove the old start/stop board. |
STEP 8 |
Separate the 2 wires from the start/stop pcb board. Using a 22awg-26awg wire stripper, carefully strip each wire to expose a small piece of copper wire. |
STEP 9 |
Insert Red/White stripe wire into the NO section of the blue board. Insert the White wire into the COM section of the blue board. |
STEP 10 |
Take the white wire coming from the Blue relay switch board and connect it to the two wires coming from the arcade button. Use the 2 orange wire butts and clamp down the wires together using a pair of pliers. Polarity or color of the wires being attach do not matter in this step. Side Note: Extra orange wire butt are included just in case you make a mistake clamping the wires down. |
STEP 11 |
Detach the wire from the board. Attach the wire into the "out" port closest to the JDD logo of the JDD power board. |
STEP 12 |
Unscrew the screw on the Numark board Attach the JDD power board to the Numark board. |
STEP 13 |
Attach the power black/red wire from the blue relay switch into the JDD power board. |
STEP 14 |
Plug the power and usb wires back into the mainboard and usb board. |
STEP 15 |
Plug in the power adapter to the Portable Turntable or insert batteries to test the Start/Stop Arcade button. Once Start/Stop button has been successfully installed place the bottom of the turntable back onto the turntable and screw in the 8 screws using a philips screw driver or electric drill. |
